Femme Fit Athlete Profile: Nicole

Where do you train?
 CrossFit Burn


What if any is your athletic background? I was always an athletic kid growing up, but in highschool I began my running career. I ran cross country and track and field in college at both UCLA and ASU. My athletic background is definitely in running and endurance training, but CrossFit has helped me strengthen my body as a whole which I just love. I've only been doing it for a couple months now, but I'm completely hooked!
 
Which event are you looking forward to the most? Definitely looking forward to the challenge of the pullups. I just learned how to kip, so it will be awesome to see how many I can do in those 3 minutes. But (no surprise here) I must admit, I'm pretty excited for the run at the beginning too!
 
What advice do you have for nervous women competing in Femme Fit? We all have some nerves brewing up inside us, but that's why we signed up..it's a bad ass workout and we are bad ass women. If it were easy, we wouldn't be doing it. So let's not get too hung up on our nerves and turn that energy into excitement because this is going to be awesome!
 
Fact: I love crafting....making cards, photography, painting...all of it. I'm also an avid yogini and am a yoga instructor for kids.
